Trail Mix

Happy National Trail Mix Day!! Trail mix is a healthy and fun snack to make for yourself or with your kids. Last year I set up a Trail Mix Bar for a party we had and the kids loved it! I had a table full of jars filled with different options and each child got a glass jar to mix their trail mix in. Trail mix is great on the go, for an after school snack, or anytime! I love that you can tailor your trail mix to everyones individual tastes, change it with the seasons, and to suit any adventure.

There really isn’t a recipe to make trail mix. I will just share some of the things the girls and I used to make our trail mix for an upcoming road trip.

Things I put out to make our trail mix:

Popcorn (we love Angie’s Kettle Corn)

Cereal (my oldest picked out Cinnamon Puffins, and some bulk granola)

Crackers (youngest picked out some Annie’s Snickerdoodle Bunny Grahams)

Dried Fruit (we had blueberries, strawberries, apples, cherries, bananas, raisins, craisins, yacon slices, dragon fruit slices, golden berries, mulberries, goji berries, coconut flakes, and chocolate covered goji berries)

Seeds (pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, Vega Savi Seeds Cocoa Kissed and Karmalized)

Nuts (raw almonds, raw pecans, cinnamon almonds, and vanilla bean almonds)

Cacao beans, chocolate chips
