Halloween is almost here and this Boo Nana Smoothie is a cute and healthy snack, dessert, or even breakfast. So cute I had to make one for myself, with protein added which is why it is more of a dirty looking ghost. The girls had a lot of fun helping me make these for breakfast.
Boo Nana Smoothies
Makes 2 servings
1 c almond milk, or non dairy milk of choice (used So Delicious Unsweetened Almond Milk Plus for the extra protein)
6 ounces vanilla or plain yogurt (used So Delicious Greek Style Vanilla Coconut Milk Yogurt and for non dairy free we used Stonyfield Organic)
2 frozen bananas, cut into chunks
2 TBSP chocolate peanut butter (Peanut Butter & Co Dark Chocolate Dreams) or can use chocolate made of cacao powder and coconut oil for a nut free version
Place peanut butter or chocolate into a pastry bag with a tip or into a plastic bag and cut off the tip of one of the corners. Pipe the chocolate face onto the glass with the glass laying down. Place glasses in the freezer or refrigerator until you are done making your smoothie. This will help it set if it is warm out as well. You can also have your kids do this the night before and fill them in the morning for breakfast. In a Vitamix, or high-speed blender, blend together milk, yogurt, and frozen bananas until smooth. Pour into prepared glasses. Enjoy!

As a Vega Recipe Ambassador I receive Vega products, which I used as an option in this recipe. I use Vega not because it is given to me but because it has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging and some recipes are made with Vega products I purchase. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.

Adorable! We only drink almond milk, so this is a perfect recipe! My daughter used to work at “Jamba Juice” and she used to bring us home the chocolate peanut butter banana smoothies and they were to die for 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
