It was a snow day and schools were closed. Snow days are so exciting and fun for kids. To fuel them for a day of playing the the snow we made pancakes but added a fun twist!! We took Chocolate Chip Pancakes, recipe here, and topped them with Chocolate Peanut Butter Sauce and marshmallows!
My oldest said “I want chocolate and mashmallow pancakes with chocolate sauce”. Sounded good except I wasn’t a fan of the chocolate sauce idea. She likes chocolate peanut butter smeared on pancakes but she wanted something more like syrup so I modified something she liked and we came up with this delicious sauce.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Sauce
1c Chocolate Peanut Butter (used Peanut Butter &) Co Dark Chocolate Dreams
1c Chocolate Almond Milk (used Dark Chocolate Silk Almond Milk)
Blend together in a blender, food processor, or Magic Bullet until smooth.
Alternatively you could maybe use plain peanut butter and add a couple of tablespoons cocoa powder. We used Dark Chocolate Almond Milk because we had it, could maybe try with another non dairy milk or unsweetened almond milk.
Let me just say this sauce is amazing on ice cream and I am sure there are many other uses for it!
