Simple Sweet Potato Shake

Mmm sweet potatoes. I have avoided making a sweet potato shake for one reason I LOVE baked sweet potatoes plain. Of course I love to top them too but I could eat sweet potatoes everyday. However today I need carbs, have no time, and need to eat on the run. A little hard to eat a loaded sweet potato in the car. I could just eat it plain, I can just see the look on the persons face the pulls up next to me as I sit there eating my sweet potato. I decided I would take the plunge and add it to my morning shake. The sweet potato makes this shake unbelievably creamy and thick. I also decided not to use vanilla or chai and go with natural for the full sweet potato flavor I was craving, I did add a tiny bit of cinnamon after adding some of my other supplements like gelatinized maca. I suggest making this shake simple and plain to start and customizing it from there to your personal needs (supplements) and tastes. Next time you have a leftover sweet potato sitting in the refridgerator from dinner the night before try it!

As a Vega Recipe Ambassador I receive Vega products, which I used as an option in this recipe. I use Vega not because it is given to me but because it has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging and some recipes are made with Vega products I purchase. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.
