During the summer sandwiches are a staple. We are always trying to switch up sandwiches around here to take on picnics, for lunch, or while on the go. Peanut butter or almond butter and banana sandwiches, or wraps, are always good and a combination we really like. One of the girls loves Peanut Butter & Co Cinnamon Raisin Peanut Butter, we had just run out that morning, and the other wanted a peanut butter banana sandwich so I put the two together. This also good for breakfast on toast.
Nut Butter Banana Raisin Sandwich
Makes 1 sandwich
2 slcies bread (used Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Bread)
1-2 TBSP almond butter (used MaraNatha)
1 banana, sliced
1-2 TBSP raisins
cinnamon
Alternatively we also make this with just bread, Peanut Butter & Co Cinnamon Raisin Peanut Butter, and sliced bananas.
Spread almond butter on one slice of bread, top with sliced bananas, sprinkle with raisins and a little cinnamon and top with other slice of bread. Enjoy!

That is one of my favorite sandwiches, especially after a long run! Unfortunately I can’t eat cinnamon anymore due to sensitivity– I used to make my own cinnamon-raisin peanut butter or almond butter and LOVED it — but now it’s just plain PB for me. I’m going to give Ezekiel Bread another try (I have sensitivity to barley, too).
