I’ve have a thing about making Halloween smoothies for the girls for years. Usually a healthy smoothie for breakfast on Halloween or in the afternoon before going out trick or treating as they usually aren’t too hungry after school parties and they are too excited about going out. This year we decided to do something a little different as S is having a party with friends and we thought we would make a smoothie earlier in the day and they would have pizza later that night or we would make these as a drink. So instead of going healthy we are having a little treat but also making them smaller in size. Especially since white chocolate was requested. Oh wait really though these are pretty healthy even if you make them with white chocolate chips (you can even use homemade dairy free chocolate chips) instead of White Chocolate Coco Nutter coconut butter because we used unsweetened coconut milk, banana, vanilla protein & greens (yes good for you greens!), and homemade chocolate sauce! The girls just kept telling me they weren’t healthy… well ok then you just keep sipping and enjoying your smoothie with that big smile on your face. I still get to make green smoothies for A’s class party. I thought green banana smoothies with spinach but she has already requested avocado smoothies. Back to these Wicked Web Smoothies. They can be made with white chocolate chips, White Chocolate CocoNutter, or you could even add in white chocolate flavoring and add more banana or ice as needed. I’m going to be enjoying them pre-workout, as I won’t be able to get my workouts in first thing, using Sweet Spreads White Chocolate CocoNutter Coconut Butter. I probably should have made a shake inspired by my favorite candy… but when I thought about it I couldn’t decde what my favorite is. What’s your favorite candy to enjoy on Halloween?

Wicked Web Smoothies
Makes 2 small or 1 large
1 1/2c non dairy milk (used So Delicious Unsweetened Vanilla Coconut Milk)
1 frozen banana
2 TBSP white chocolate chips or 2 TBSP Sweet Spreads White Chocolate CocoNutter
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (used Vega Vanilla Protein and Greens)
1/4c chocolate sauce, bought or homemade (used 3 TBSP cacao powder, 3TBSP coconut oil, and 3 TBSP maple syrup/agave)

Pour chocolate sauce into a ziploc bag and snip the corner or pastry bag with a small tip. In a Vitamix, or high speed blender, blend together milk, banana, white chocolate, and protein powder until smooth. Pour into 1 or 2 glasses. Pipe a dot in the middle of the glass and draw 2-3 rings around it depending on the size of your glass and then drag a toothpick from the center out to create a web. Enjoy!

While I do receive some Vega products from time to time, which I listed as an option in this recipe, I do purchase much of it on my own. It has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging. Even though most Vega products used are purchased by myself I do add this disclaimer. I do not make any money off any Vega sales or posts. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.
