Today is National Grilled Cheese Day so I thought I would share one of my all time favorite grilled cheese sandwiches!
Havarti and Tomato Grilled Cheese Sandwich
makes 1
2 slices of bread, gluten free if desired, like to use Vienna bread or a Filone Roll
2 slices of Havarti cheese
1-2 TBSP Sun-dried Tomato Cream Cheese
1 vine ripe tomato, sliced
few thin red onion slices, optional
cooking spray or butter
Butter the outside of your bread or skip this and just spray some non stick spray on your bread or griddle before grilling. Assemble sandwich, cream cheese on inside of one or both slices of bread, layer tomato, optional onion slices, havarti cheese, and other slice of bread. On a hot griddle or pan grill your sandwich for a couple of minutes on each side, until golden brown and cheese is nice and melted. Enjoy!
