I shared one of my favorite grilled cheese sandwiches, here. I haven’t had that grilled cheese in awhile as I have been craving this! Now this is a grilled sandwich I will make more often as it is healthy and I feel great after eating.
Grilled Avocado and Tomato Sandwich
2 slices of bread (used Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Bread, it’s one of my favorites)
1/2 – 1 avocado
1 vine ripe tomato, sliced
salt and pepper to taste
cooking spray, I like Spectrum coconut oil spray
This sandwich can be made by grilling it or toasting the bread in a toaster.
To make it by toasting your bread, toast bread in a toaster. When bread is done mash avocado onto one slice of bread, season with salt and pepper, and layer tomato and other slice of bread. Enjoy!
To grill assemble sandwich, mash avocado onto one slice of bread, season with salt and pepper, and layer tomato and other slice of bread. Spray the outside of one slice of bread lightly with non stick spray and lay on griddle or hot pan. After a minute or two when bread is toasted spray the bread facing up with lightly and flip. Grill until golden brown and remove from heat. Enjoy!
