I’ve been trying to space out my Elvis (peanut butter, banana, bacon, honey) creations but really craving this with the girls been back at school this week. Maybe it’s the desire for coffee, starting strength training back up (slowly, think I finally learned my lesson) and craving all the protein smoothies, or the salty sweet cravings I always seem to have, or maybe the smell of peanut butter from the girls lunch yesterday. No matter how or why it’s the perfect time to share this with you. Oh and I promise I have no other Elvis posts hiding waiting to pull out so you should be safe for a few months since I have lots of other things to finish up and share with you and it’s almost time for all the fall apple, pumpkin, squash, caramel, and spice and everything nice creations!
As I previously stated in my Elvis Smoothie I had another one up my sleeve that had a twist adding in one of my favorite things. Yes, coffee!! I present to you the Elevated Elvis Espresso Smoothie and Smoothie Bowl! I’m pretty sure Elvis liked coffee, because who doesn’t, and really he had to have something in him to fuel those moves. Not that I know because I’m actually not really an Elvis fan but how can I not like someone with such amazing taste to come up with the Elvis combo. So maybe he didn’t like coffee but either way there is no reason this shouldn’t be added to the mix. I don’t know about you but I get giddy and smiley and I feel like dancing when I have the Elvis peanut butter, bananas, sometimes honey/syrup, and (coconut) bacon. The sweet and savory combo just excites me and just think about what I could get done in a day when adding in espresso? Let me tell you I got a lot done! If you follow me on social media you also know I love my smoothie bowls so I had to make that twist. Again this can be made for breakfast or snack, haha anytime, or is great as a post workout smoothie when adding in my favorite Vega Sport Performance or Clean Protein. If it was a long or intense workout adding in agave in place of honey for recovery. If making for breakfast or snack I do either Vega One or a half and half of that and Clean Protein. As I have stated before use what works for you and suites your needs. Don’t be afraid to mix your protein powders either, I do this all the time with Vega One to get the best of both worlds. For the girls I tend to stick to Vega Protein Smoothie or Protein and Greens, again do your research before adding new foods to your diet.

While I do receive some Vega products from time to time, which I listed as an option in this recipe, I do purchase much of it on my own. It has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging. I do not make any money off any Vega sales or posts. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.
