Electrifying Green Recovery Smoothie

After a great workout I get this amazing electrifying feeling! Today I had multiple workouts and I was full of energy but my body was drained for sure. There was a little leftover strawberry puree from something I had made the girls and I decided to add it to my green recovery smoothie and have a little fun!

 

Electrifying Green Recovery Smoothie

Makes 1 BIG serving or two smaller (both glasses pictured is a serving and I enjoyed them both myself)

1/3c fresh strawberries

1c almond milk (used So Delicious Unsweetened Almond Milk Plus, for the added protein)

1 scoop Vega Sport Recovery Accelorator, Tropical

1/2 frozen banana

2 big handfuls of mixed kales, steams removed, I picked from the garden (dino, curly, premier)

1tsp wheatgrass, optional (Navitas Naturals Wheatgrass)

1tsp gelatinized maca powder, optional (Navitas Naturals Gelatinized Maca)

ice

 

In a Vitamix puree strawberries and pour into the bottom of a tall glass. Rinse Vitamix and add almond milk, recovery accelerator, optional wheatgrass and maca, greens, banana and blend until smooth. Add ice if desired and blend. Pour on top of strawberry puree, if you are like me pour into two glasses because it didn’t fit into one. Enjoy!
