When we have fruit or veggies that need to be used up I juice them or blend them into a smoothie. I had some green grapes that needed to be used up and some celery that wasn’t going to be crisp for long so I blended them up. It was a beautiful green color and I decided to throw in some red cranberries, as I know that they as well as celery are great for detoxing and I thought the red flecks would be pretty. I blended a little longer then planned for the speckled look but it was delicious!
Crisp Cranberry Juice Smoothie
Makes 1 serving
1 1/2 c green grapes
3 celery stalks, chopped in 3-4″ sections
1/2 c cranberries, fresh or frozen (used fresh ones I put in the freezer I was going to use for something else)
1/2 c water (if you want you can blend and then add sparkling water)
In a Vitamix, or high-speed blender, blend together grapes, celery and water. Once smooth add cranberries and blend until well chopped or if you like it smooth until smooth. Enjoy!

Interesting combination! Can you taste the celery? I loathe celery, but I have some that I put in a chickpea tart for Thanksgiving and I don’t know what to do with it.

A little but with the grapes and cranberries I guess I don’t really notice it.
