Chocolate Almond Butter Pops!
Chocolate Almond Butter Pops!

National Chocolate with Almonds Day isn’t over yet! The girls and I decided to whip up some popsicles for a snack and make Chocolate Almond Butter Pops! I let them decide how they how they were going to make theirs and I made a protein version for myself. We made ours using a Zoku Popsicle Maker which we love because it makes popsicles in less than 10 minutes! We mix up the stuff, they pour it in, they wave their wands, and poof we have popsicles!

My Chocolate Almond Butter Pops!

Makes 5 Zoku pops

1c almond or coconut milk (used So Delicious Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk Plus)

1 scoop protein powder (used Vega One Chocolate)

2TBSP almond butter (used MaraNatha Natural Almond Butter)

2-4TBSP almond or coconut milk (used So Delicious Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk Plus), to thin almond butter, optional

Mix together 1 cup of milk and protein powder, or smoothie mix. In another container mix almond butter with milk to thin out if desired. For layers, you will want to use thinned almond butter, place desired amount in the popsicle maker, let set 2-3 minutes, fill next layer, repeat. For the other versions we made I didn’t think the almond butter as much and squeezed it in down the sides, filled half way with chocolate mixture, froze a couple of minutes and squeezed in more almond butter mixture as I wanted to bit into “chunks” of almond butter. Any way you make them they will be delicious! Enjoy!

As a Vega Recipe Ambassador I received Vega products to use in creating this recipe. I use Vega not because it is given to me but because it has been my plant-based protein of choice since before I started blogging. I only write about foods I love, my blog is an extension of my hobby to make fun healthy food creations for me and my family.
