I would be lying if I said I didn’t crave my Starbucks Caramel Affogato over Skinny Vanilla Bean Frappuccino. Yep I still splurge and get one every now and then but came up with this Affogato Protein Shake one morning while making my shake after my workout and I was having a craving. No it doesn’t have the caramel but it still hits the spot!! Sometimes I even put a few shavings of a Vega Maca Bar on top. Shhh!

What you need to make this shake:

1 scoop or serving Vanilla Protein Powder (use French Vanilla Vega One, have also made with Vega Energizing Smoothie Vanilla Almondilla)

1c Unsweetened Almond Milk (I use Silk brand)

1c  ice (or planning ahead I will freeze almond milk and use 1c almond ice cubes and a little less milk, making it thicker)

Vega Maca Chocolate Bar shavings (optional)

2 shots of espresso

Brew espresso. Put protein powder, milk, and ice in a blender or bullet and blend until smooth. Pour Shake into glass, pour espresso over the top, sprinkle with optional maca bar shavings. Enjoy!!

I keep a Vega Maca Chocolate Bar in the cupboard and for the shavings just use a vegetable peeler and shave a little off the end.
